Workshops at Otaihanga Zero Waste

At Otaihanga Zero Waste, we’re passionate about helping our community save money while revaluing, repurposing, and reusing materials. That’s why we’re launching regular workshops covering a range of practical, hands-on topics to support sustainable living.

Upcoming Workshop: How to Build a Compost Bin

Composting is one of the easiest and most effective ways to reduce waste, save money, and improve soil health. By composting your food scraps and garden waste, you can:

  • Save on tip fees by keeping organic waste out of landfill

  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions caused by decomposing waste in landfills

  • Create nutrient-rich compost to feed your garden naturally

  • Support a circular economy by turning waste into a valuable resource

Join us for our first workshop and learn how to build your own compost bin using reclaimed materials!
